I hope that one of my NGO representatives of Brasil/GPConnect will be attending, Romel. If so, he will send an email to confirmed the participation. All the best.Massimo

Hi all....it would be great to hear how the meeting on 22nd Dec goes! I was hoping to attend but unfortuntanely I do not move in to Rio de Janeiro until 30th December.  I am also interested to hear more about social entrepeneurship in Brazil, but I am sure I will have more opportunities in the near future !

Dear all,

As I mentioned, I have now included the information about our networking event in the social entrepreneurship online platform I am creating. I think it might be a good way to facilitate dissemination of information about the event.

It is available at: http://www.brazilsocialpreneurship.org/#!1st-brazil-socialpreneursh.... As always, suggestions are very welcome.

Therefore, I invite all of the group to confirm its presence on our 1st Networking Event and invite people interested in social entrepreneurship.

1st BRAZIL Socialpreneurship Event:

  • Venue: Ekoa Café, Vila Madalena - São Paulo, Brazil
  • Address:  R. Fradique Coutinho, 914Phone: +55 11 3032-7842
  • Date/Time: 8pm, 22nd December 2011
  • Objective: Bring together people interested in social entrepreneurship in Brazil to join efforts, exchange ideas and build connections.

@Luke Barbara - I think the Ekoa Café is a great venue. It is not far from the Metro.

So the final details are:

  • Venue: Ekoa Café, Vila Madalena - Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • Date/Time: 8pm, 22nd December 2011
  • We can refer to it as: First Brazil Social Entrepreneurship Networking Event

As I mentioned before, I taking advantage of my research project at UN to create an online platform to bring together good examples of social business in other developing/emerging countries (especially Asia and Africa). The intention is to give ideas to social entrepreneurs in Brazil to use this knowledge for local implementation.

I will include a tab with the information of this event, so that we can bring more interested people. I will let you know as soon as this is completed.

Meanwhile, we can get in contact with people in Artemisia, VoxCapital and others to see if someone could come.

Please let me know in case you have other ideas.

Best regards,

Tomás Carvalhosa
