"Jini, I believe there is synergy between microfinance and patient capital. I think that microfinance investment funds (MIV) can be tailored to be "categorized" as patient capital. MVIs have the structure to take on a long investment…"

I have been working in the private sector in the Marketing & Finance field, for the past 7 years, and about to embark on a 6 months Sociology & Anthropology course in Brazil. I am hoping to learn portuguese at the same time.

Im originally from Rwanda but grew up in Switzerland and England. 75% of my family still live in Rwanda so I go visit every year when I can. I recently spent 3 months in Brazil working to help kids from poor communities, in relation to education and sports. I have always had an interest in inequality and poverty but since my experience in Brazil, my interest has turned into a passion. I hope to meet many people in this community who share the same passion!

I am keen to learn more from social entrepeneurship, as it mixes two vital aspects of life and sustainability: business and social impact
