I would like to be a leader in the fight against poverty and disease in developing countries. I have worked toward this goal by offering a graduate course in Public Health Leadership (MPHL). I have been pursuing this career by being a champion in the fight against HIV/AIDS and reduction of maternal and child deaths in Uganda. I have also been involved in public health related activities especially in the integration of the safe motherhood in HIV/AIDS programs in Uganda. As a community health advocate, I have implemented programs in the awareness of HIV/AIDS, malaria prevention, water and sanitation, family planning services, and advocacy working in improving access and of the quality of health care facilities in Uganda. During these years of fieldwork experience, I’ve helped community groups to start revolving funds and income generating activities to help in the fight against poverty.
