Why do you want to be a part of this community?: I would like to know more about the Acumen Fund and how I can become involved in the work that you do. I am interested in economic development, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, and after reading The Blue Sweater I wanted to connect with this company and learn more about its operations, strategies and accomplishments.

This is your spot to share more about who you are so others can connect with you: share a little more about where you work or went to school, and other ways to reach you (Twitter ID, ICQ, etc.): I am a Masters student currently studying international trade, investment and development at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. I am focusing my studies on economic development, particularly on agriculture and food security issues. I am interested in any volunteer or internship opportunities, either in the Bay Area or elsewhere for the summer.
