The Blue Sweater and Jacqueline's continued modeling of a linchpin has been huge in helping to make change happen. Here's a snippet from a post - but the ideas I've learned from that modeling now permeate all that I do.

Wow what a useful framework, Mary Louise. I'm curious what other teachers and students in this group think - how do we do enough to make sure people actively read the book and learn about Acumen's work?

Jacqueline, Your book is a bible for anyone who wants to work in the social sector. I loved your book. It's candid, refreshing and engaging. I loved the way you described the natural beauty in the African countries you worked. It helped to keep per…

Hi Fang Thanks for your thoughtful note. I think it is important not to think of this work as being done by selfless people, though. Indeed, I think that committing to something bigger than yourself actually creates the most meaningful life imaginab…

I think I end up doing an informal Acumen 101 every second day within a different section of my friends circle :) It would be great to do an organized one though - do you have a "get to know us" package? It would be easy enough to put one together too.

Hey! Yeah, Dan and I are delayed with Peace Corps so after a few months of traveling/hanging, I'm working for Ashoka's Changemakers until mid-July. I'll be living in NYC for a stretch starting at the end of February so hopefully I see you around. ;)

We're ordering books. (We can only buy one hardback at the moment because of the library budget). I think the Admin wants to make the Blue Sweater a project for the Preston Scholars Program. I've got the Religion Department Head, the Dean of Studies, and the Principal on board. The first cohort will be juniors in the fall. That year focuses on Social Justice, hence the tie-in with Blue Sweater. As well, I'm trying to make contact with other sustainables on this web site to have pen pals for my group.

Thank you! it's feels good to be onboard already......well, that sounds doable. I'll look at the pack and try to generate interest in the meantime. I have a feeling I knew more likeminded people in Canada and can generate interest in Pakistan - London and PwC may be more of a challenge. Let's see.......
